A former Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee official has been charged with embezzling more than $165,000 from the club and stealing from Major League Baseball, which supported a youth baseball program through the club.

The scheme involved the theft of player fees, concessions proceeds, and blatant false billing for umpires — mostly the man's family and friends — for games they never worked and for "paid volunteers" at Brewers' concession stands. According to prosecutors, even Hank Aaron Chasing the Dream Scholarship money got diverted.

Miguel Green, 54, worked for the club for about five years and had risen to direct Reviving Baseball in the Inner Cities, or RBI, for the Boys & Girls Clubs, until he was fired in April 2018 over "poor judgment" during a sleepover event, according to the criminal complaint.
