Teen sues Adams County Sheriff’s Office over punch to the head

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — Anthony Perez said he will always be thankful for his friend, after he decided to record a portion of Perez’s arrest with his cell phone.

“If he didn’t get it you know I would have got charged with assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest and doing all that stuff when I didn’t do anything,” Perez said. “You know just cause their name (Adams County Sheriff Deputies) is more powerful than mine.”

The 20-year-old is suing the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and deputies Curtis Garth and Brandon Neel for excessive force.

A year into the pandemic, Wisconsin residents still aren't being told where COVID-19 spread

From JSOnline:
Matt PiperMadeline Heim
USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin

By the end of November, many in Wisconsin knew the worst of COVID-19.

State residents had been infected at one of the highest rates in the nation. Nearly 1,300 deaths had been reported that month alone; some hospitals, overrun, had treated patients in lobbies, hallways or ambulance garages.

But there was still something fundamental about the disease that Wisconsin residents could only guess at.

Even though the state budgeted $75 million to trace the virus' path, its health department chose from the earliest days of the pandemic to reveal little about outbreak locations.

Then, during last fall's surge, the state's most powerful business and manufacturing group sued to make doubly sure nobody but the state could access those records.

So once the wave crested, there was nothing public at the state level to answer claims like those from the head of the Wisconsin Restaurant Association on Nov. 30, who said there was no data that proved people were more likely to contact the virus in restaurants.

The same was true for data about bars, churches, stores, meatpacking plants or manufacturers.

Lobbyists against naming businesses

Lobbyists argue that naming businesses with outbreaks would brand them with a "scarlet letter" and be used to out their infected employees.

Worker rights advocates and public health experts say that Wisconsin residents have a right to make informed decisions and use the data to help identify employers who flout precautions.

Other states publish outbreak locations, and at least one local health department that published them in Wisconsin says it would still be giving residents that information, if not for the lawsuit from Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce.

Melissa Perry, epidemiologist and chair of the environmental and occupational health department at George Washington University, said that just as they do with outbreaks of Legionnaires' disease or hepatitis A, health departments should share where COVID-19 outbreaks began.

"The same principles apply," she said. "You inform, you communicate regularly, you continuously track, distribute information to empower citizens — that's how you get all the faster to the end."

Thanks largely to the vaccine, far fewer Wisconsinites are dying than in November. But COVID-19 has now claimed more than 6,500 lives, and as more and more people venture back out, they do so without the fullest possible knowledge of which environments are the coronavirus' favorites.

Wisconsin reclassifies 1,000 past COVID-19 deaths, now reports 45% of all deaths were in long-term care facilities

From JSOnline:
Sarah Volpenhein
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

In the last two weeks, Wisconsin health officials have attributed nearly 1,000 more COVID-19 deaths to long-term care facilities, people that for months had been marked as having died in an "unknown" housing setting.

The state is now reporting 45% of the people who died from COVID-19 were in long-term care facilities, when for months the state had only linked between 26% and 30% of COVID-19 fatalities to long-term care.

Those earlier percentages were much lower than in most other states, including many neighboring ones, and the differences raised questions about the accuracy and timeliness of Wisconsin's count of long-term care deaths.

Until recently, the state was missing information in about half of all COVID-19 deaths and could not say whether those people were long-term care residents. They were listed as COVID-19 deaths with an "unknown" housing setting.

Now, many of them have been reclassified as long-term care residents, a category that covers nursing homes and assisted living centers.

Gov. Tony Evers' administration said the change is part of the normal process of updating the state's health data, including about COVID-19 deaths, and ensuring data quality. They said the state's decentralized system — with data gathered at local health departments — makes data difficult to collect, and said that without an extra step they took, the 1,000 deaths might never have been correctly tied to long-term care facilities.

Putin bitchslapped Creepy Joe

From Vox Popoli:

Not-President Greenscreen has been reading some tough lines about the Russian leader. But the historical reality is just a little bit different:

I documented what happened at Joe Biden’s one and only meeting with Vladimir Putin in my book Joe Biden Unauthorized. I can attest that the title of my chapter on the incident – Bitch Slapped in Moscow – is the actual truth.

Biden got bitch slapped, and he’s pretending he didn’t.

Putin knows what happened. He was there. He knows he compromised Joe Biden, who appeared unprepared to deal with the ruthless, former-KGB agent. Regardless, Joe continues to perpetuate his “I was the tough guy” lie.

As Joe Biden’s White House stenographer, I stood directly behind Putin at a distance of five feet. Biden, seated across from Putin at an elegant conference table, was about 12 feet from me.

About 10 minutes into the meeting, Vice President Biden attempted to start lecturing about his decades-old part in U.S.-Russian negotiations with the dreaded phrase, “I’ve been around a long time. The first time I was here…”

And… cut.

Joe Biden got about one sentence further into that spiel when off went his microphone, off went the lights for the TV cameras, and stern Russian voices were commanding the press to leave. And leave they did.

They went out quickly and efficiently, with videocameras popping off of tripods. Equipment snapping shut. Portable lights clattering down retractable poles. No one spoke, and no one dared linger.

This was Putin in all his KGB ruthlessness. Whether by some prearranged signal or simply an undisclosed time limit, he had pulled the plug and done the unthinkable: he’d stolen Joe Biden’s audience and rendered him speechless. Shut him down in mid-sentence with the flick of an invisible switch.

Across the table, I could see Vice President of the United States Joe Biden, in the now dimly lit room, looking as duped as an exhausted fish in the bottom of a boat. No protest, no complaint. No, hey, I wasn’t finished. Nothing. He was humiliated.

To me, the revelation was the premeditated precision of the snub. Putin or his team had likely plotted this all out. They knew exactly what bait to use, exactly how Joe Biden would take it, and then when he did, they reeled him helplessly in.

The Russian President and his delegation sat calmly and coldly as their American counterparts realized their blustery leader’s big moment had been stolen right out from under him. The most powerful man in Russia had neither fear nor respect for Joe Biden. He had just played with him for sport.

Putin knows. He knows a lot more about what's actually going on than we do.

We lost a future Supreme Court justice

From Vox Popoli:

It's so tragic when a man who was almost certainly on track for the Supreme Court should be derailed by such a minor incident coming to light:

A Milwaukee County Children’s Court judge and former president and CEO of the Cream City Foundation, which runs the city’s drag queen story hour program, has been arrested on seven counts of child pornography.

Brett Blomme, 38, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly uploading 27 images and videos of children being sexually abused on the messaging app Kik. Blomme was held overnight and released with a signature. He has been ordered to stay off social media and file-sharing services and is not allowed near any children except the two that he adopted with his husband.

Blomme is accused of uploading the images both from his home and from the judge’s chambers. The alleged pedophile judge was the president and CEO of the Cream City Foundation, which runs the Milwaukee Drag Queen Story Hour for local children.

And this is why traditional societies have always sought to keep the gays well away from the children. Although the media does its best to bury the statistical facts, homosexual men are more than 14 times more likely to abuse children than normal men.

"It's Pretty Windy Outside" - White House Blames 'Climate' For Biden's Biff On Air Force One Steps

From ZeroHedge:

Tyler Durden's Photo
BY TYLER DURDEN
FRIDAY, MAR 19, 2021 - 07:45 PM

Update (1245ET): Phew! A White House official has confirmed that President Biden, after stumbling aboard Air Force One on his way to Georgia, "is fine."

Additionally, Steven Nelson reports that White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre seems to blame the wind for President Biden's fall. She told reporters aboard Air Force One:

"It's pretty windy outside. It's very windy. I almost fell coming up the steps myself. He is doing 100 percent."

May we humbly suggest this addition?

We hear they are free to install under Medicare-for-All.

Elijah Schaffer made the following poignant comment:

"The saddest part about Biden overall is that it isn’t actually funny watching him physically deteriorate on TV, It’s sad for him/his family, detrimental to our country, & makes us a laughing stock to the world, We are seen as weak because under a Biden administration we are"

But in the interest of balance, can we please stop being mean to the president.

*  *  *

How is President Biden supposed to negotiate with China when he can't even negotiate a set of stairs?

After a brief tour through the South where he stopped in Georgia to meet with leaders of the Asian-American community in the wake of this week's deadly shooting at a spa and massage parlor in Atlanta, Biden and his entourage returned to Air Force One.

From another angle:

The clip immediately went viral after finding its way to Twitter, as online wits joked about the timing (coinciding with the conclusion of a US-China summit where China's aggressive posture made headlines).

We know who is to blame for the fall of course...

Think that's an exaggeration? Here's CNN in 2017...

It's not exactly a vote of confidence, coming just hours after he mistakenly referred to his Veep as "President" Harris. Fortunately, an aide to the president confirmed that he was "doing fine" after the spill.

Oh and just one more thing. Remember when Biden mocked Trump's ramp walk at West Point...

We'll give the final word to Don Jr who, as usual, sums up the farce perfectly: "I remember the press bashing Trump for touching the rail once. Biden falls repeatedly but I’m sure he’s the picture of health. No wonder all our enemies are pouncing simultaneously and mocking him publicly

THE SHITSTORM HAS ARRIVED

From Racine County Corruption:

ILLUMINATING HIDDEN TRUTHS

THE SHITSTORM HAS ARRIVED

The storm has arrived and City of Racine officials are now in deep doodoo

City of Racine officials concieved, manufactured, maintained and created a poll worker shortage crisis for the 2020 elections.

There was no shortage of volunteer poll workers in the City of Racine according to public record documents acquired by RCC and H.O.T. Government.

Public records indicated there was a "pile" of new applicants available to choose from.

Other records indicated that numerous past poll workers were summariliy

rejected without reason.

City of Racine officials live a life of deceipt and lies.

Below is an email thread from a single poll worker volunteer.

The citizen went to great lenghts to be a volunteer pollworker.

As you will see below, the City of Racine went to greater lenghts to first ignore the volunteer, then mock the applicant stating her application will be added to a "pile"of new applicants and then sent a letter of refusal.

During this same time the City was claiming there was

a shortage of volunteer poll workers.

WTF !

First baby in U.S. born with antibodies against COVID-19 after mom receives dose of Moderna vaccine while pregnant

At 36 weeks pregnant, a South Florida frontline health care worker received her first shot of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. She gave birth three weeks later to a healthy baby girl — with COVID-19 antibodies.

Doctors believe the newborn marks the first known case of a baby born with coronavirus antibodies in the U.S., which may offer her some protection against the virus.

Dr. Paul Giblert and Dr. Chad Rudnick presented their findings in a preprint study, meaning it has not yet been peer-reviewed. They found that the antibodies were detected at the time of delivery, after analyzing blood from the baby's umbilical cord taken immediately after birth and before placenta delivery.

"We have demonstrated that SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibodies are detectable in a newborn's cord blood sample after only a single dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine," they concluded. "Thus, there is potential for protection and infection risk reduction from Sars-CoV-2 with maternal vaccination."

The doctors emphasize, however, that more research is needed to verify the safety and efficacy of the coronavirus vaccines during pregnancy

It was already known that mothers previously infected with COVID-19 can pass antibodies on to their newborns. Additionally, the passage of antibodies from mother to baby through the placenta is well documented in other vaccines, including that for influenza, so doctors were hopeful the same newborn protection would be possible after maternal vaccination against COVID-19.

Why City of Racine is getting way more stimulus money than its neighbors, explained

From The Journal Times.com:

RACINE — The City of Racine is to see much more monetary benefit than its neighbors from the $1.9 trillion spending bill signed by President Joe Biden on March 11.

$1.9 trillion

Nearly one-fifth of the bill’s expenditures — the third such massive spending bill passed by Congress during the pandemic — is aid to states, cities, counties, tribes and smaller municipalities as the country’s economic revs its collective engine in the wake of the pandemic.

Collectively through the bill, titled the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, $5.711 billion will be coming to Wisconsin in various forms, with some going to the state, some for capital projects and much of it for municipalities.

The local governments in Racine County are to receive $96.87 million in total, with the money partially (but not totally) being divvied by population. Nearly half of that money is going to the City of Racine.

Why the difference?

Cities with higher poverty rates and more crowded housing are getting larger allocations than simply based on population, based on how the spending bill was designed. Also, locations that are federally designated as “metro cities” — of which there are 18 in Wisconsin, including the City of Racine — are slated to get considerably more than their neighbors, even if those neighbors aren’t that much smaller, population-wise.

Vos says no to plan that would provide Wisconsin with $1.6 billion for health care

From JSOnline:
Patrick Marley
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

MADISON - The state would reap $1.6 billion in tax savings — more than 2½ times original projections — if it provided health care to more Wisconsinites under a provision of the recently passed federal COVID relief legislation.

The measure is meant to induce Wisconsin and 11 other states to follow the 38 states that have fully expanded health coverage under the Affordable Care Act.

The top Republican in the Wisconsin Assembly said he won't take the deal and no amount of federal money could get him to change his mind.

"I think the State of Wisconsin has enough resources to be able to utilize, to make sure we have all of our priorities funded and we're not going to do it by expanding welfare," said Assembly Speaker Robin Vos of Rochester.

"Trapping people in the life of poverty is not something that there's ever the right amount of money to do."

Mount Pleasant woman charged with child abuse at Timber Ridge Water Par

The indoor waterpark at the Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark located in the Town of Lyons.

LYONS — Mount Pleasant resident Julia Jarlsberg, 31, is being charged for allegedly causing bodily harm to a child at the Timber Ridge Lodge and Water Park, located by Grand Geneva Resort outside of Lake Geneva.

According to a criminal complaint, an officer was dispatched to the Timber Ridge Lodge on March 10 after receiving a report of a mother who had struck a child.

Upon arriving on the scene, the officer spoke with Jarlsberg’s child.

The child reported that Jarlsberg was intoxicated and that she had struck her when attempting to prevent Jarlsberg from grabbing another beer from their hotel unit’s refrigerator.

The child reported Jarlsberg had pulled her hair, pushed her and struck her.

The child’s injuries consisted of bruises and scratches, which were photographed by responding officers.

When officers went to Jarlsberg's hotel room to talk to her, they found she had exited through the back patio door, according to the complaint.

Officers later located her near a vehicle in the resort parking lot. She reportedly was having trouble balancing and slurring her speech.

Jarlsberg admitted to officers she had been drinking and that she was violating a condition of her probation by doing so. After initially denying striking her child, Jarlsberg later admitted to pushing and yelling at the child, according to reports.

Reports indicate Jarlsberg’s blood alcohol content was .247 after a test was administered.

Jarlsberg faces a felony charge of physical abuse to a child with a maximum sentence of six years, as well as one misdemeanor charge for disorderly conduct with a maximum sentence of 90 days.

Jarlsberg has been convicted in Racine County on a number of charges before the Timber Ridge incident.

In July 2012 she was convicted of a disorderly conduct charge with a domestic abuse modifier. In 2016 she was convicted of an OWI while operating with a passenger under 16-years-old. In 2019 she was charged with a misdemeanor for violating a domestic abuse order as well as a disorderly conduct charge in March 2020.

She also received an injunction in August 2019, restricting her possession of firearms.

Mailvox: the HoloJoe isn't real

From Vox Popoli:

It was interesting to read this in my inbox not long after concluding last night's Darkstream devoted to President Greenscreen:
People are saying that there is something wrong with the latest Biden presser outside the White House. They draw attention to the white fluffy microphone, but I think there is a much more damning bit of evidence that may fall through the cracks - which is why I'm writing this e-mail.

Long story short, check out the recent video where Biden's hand obscures the boom microphone and look at the leftmost black mic on the left screen. Compare it with the video on the right side of the screen. Since the video loops back and forth, it's easy to see that they've made a major mistake. They have confused the two black mics.

In the video on the left, Biden's hand is to the right of that black mic. In the video on the right, Biden's hand is to the left of that black mic.

If the images were consistent, Biden's hand would be obscured by that black mic in the video on the right. Instead, he is the one obscuring it with his hand.

That's because they screwed up and focused on the wrong black mic. It's not surprising since it's hard to spot this inconsistency without repeated watching and looping of the footage. Notice the sudden jerky movement of one of the black mics in the video on the left that confirms which black mic is which.

The HoloJoe isn't real.

It's genuinely hard to find competent help these days. Even, apparently, for the Deep State.

A Fourth Stimulus Check Might Be on the Way

filo / Getty Images

With the third round of stimulus checks beginning to hit taxpayers’ bank accounts this week, many are wondering if there will be a fourth round of stimulus payments.

The American Rescue Plan was signed by President Joe Biden last Thursday in an effort to provide financial relief to individuals, businesses and communities hardest hit by the coronavirus. This marked another round of stimulus checks, the third since the pandemic first hit last year.

According to Politico, some Democratic members of Congress do not feel a third stimulus check is enough. Two months before the new relief package was signed, 50 Democratic members of the House of Representatives signed a letter asking President Biden to prioritize recurring direct checks instead of one-time stimulus payments.

The letter published by Politico states, “Another one-time round of checks would provide a temporary lifeline, but when that money runs out, families will once again struggle to pay for basic necessities. One more check is not enough during this public health and economic crisis.”

Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota was the letter’s lead signatory. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York was among the other House members who signed.

In a January press release, Omar stated, “A one-time payment of $2,000 is simply not enough. The American people are counting on us to deliver transformative change, and we need to meet the moment by delivering monthly payments of $2,000.”

Eleven Senate Democrats also pressed for recurring direct payments and increased unemployment benefits at the beginning of March, according to CNBC.
