From the classic fighting arcade games at the end of the bar to the vintage comic panels owner Tom O’Connor hand-pasted onto the bathroom walls, every corner of the bar at 213 Sixth St. is bound to trigger memories of times past.

More pigs cutting deals with other pigs to avoid punishment for their pig crimes. Fuck the pigs.
LSP released more video of Ronald Greene encounter
These pigs deserve to be dragged down a gravel road with nothing on. After sitting on the evidence for two years, the pig announcer says that he, too, has been affected by this murder. Listen to the lying pigs on all of the videos. They do this regularly. If I were president, federal troops would already be in Louisiana taking over for the pig state troopers. The pigs will be the first to hide behind due process and the law, while they denied Mr. Greene every civil and legal right that he ever had. MURDERERS!
Kyle Rittenhouse makes first in-person Wisconsin court appearance
Rittenhouse, 18, is charged with killing Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26, and wounding Gaige Grosskreutz, 26, late on Aug. 25 during protests in Kenosha over the police shooting two days earlier of Jacob Blake, who was left paralyzed.
His lawyers say Rittenhouse acted in lawful self-defense, citing widely seen cellphone videos of the shootings.
Up until Friday, all of Rittenhouse's Wisconsin court appearances had been via Zoom, from his lawyer Mark Richards' office in Racine. He did appear in person in a Waukegan, Illinois, courtroom in October while fighting his extradition to Wisconsin. He had returned home to Antioch, Illinois, the night of the shootings before surrendering to police there.
63% Of Millennial Buyers Regret Purchasing New Home During Pandemic
As it turns out, buying at the market top can quickly lead to feelings of remorse.
With prices of single-family homes soaring the most on record...
...one recent survey found that millennials who decided to take advantage of low mortgage rates and buy a home during the COVID pandemic have mostly come to regret their decision.
As the survey from BankRate pointed out, buyer's regrets are even more of a factor in the pandemic, as agents compete even more ruthlessly for deals. Leave it to the millennial generation to normalize buying a home sight-unseen, and waiving contingencies that might allow them an escape hatch once problems emerge.
Unsurprisingly, the rush to buy is leading some to settle for properties that aren't quite right for them. Homebuyer regrets fell into two broad categories: financial and physical.
Also of interest: the survey found that, generally speaking, older buyers had fewer complaints about their purchases. Perhaps that's a reflect of the fact that older people have a better idea of what they want.
In total, 64% of millennial homebuyers, aged 25 to 40, have some regrets about their purchase compared with just 33%of baby boomers, aged 57 to 75.
By far the biggest regret among recent homebuyers was being unprepared for the cost of maintenance. More than 20% of millennial homeowners said they felt the costs of homeownership were too high, and that number jumped to 26% among those ages 25-31.
Millennials, well known for being fickle trend-followers, also reported finding that their home wasn't a good fit for them.
That those who buy during a market boom end up disappointing isn't surprising, since they have less time to make decisions, and are competing against a much larger pool of potential buyers.
"Because the market is so competitive, you have less time to make a decision on a homebuying purchase than you do on a laptop at Best Buy," said Olmsted. "You’ve already had, possibly, a couple of offers not accepted, you feel that pressure to make a decision and put an offer in."
For those looking to avoid being similarly dissatisfied, BankRate offered a list of helpful tips:
- Work with an agent who understands the market.
- Be ready to make some concessions, but stick to your guns on must-haves.
- Focus on whether a home is somewhere you’d be comfortable living, even if it’s not your dream property.
- Make a budget and keep it.
- Don’t rush into a deal just because you’re frustrated.
Another suggestion: remember, those who own their own homes are in the minority in the millennial generation. They should be grateful they aren't being forced to move back into their childhood bedrooms with their partner - because that's what some millennials are being forced to do to save for a down payment.

New type of coronavirus originating in dogs found - study
A new type of coronavirus believed to have originated in dogs was detected among patients hospitalised with pneumonia in 2017-2018, and may be the eighth unique coronavirus known to cause disease in humans if it is confirmed as a pathogen, a study said.
Researchers in the study, published in the Clinical Infectious Diseases journal on Thursday, said their findings underscored the public health threat of animal coronaviruses.
The researchers said they had tested nasal swab samples taken from 301 pneumonia patients at a hospital in the east Malaysian state of Sarawak. Eight of the samples, mostly from children under 5 years old, came back positive for a canine coronavirus.
Further genomic sequencing found that the new strain, named CCoV-HuPn-2018, shared characteristics of other coronaviruses known to have infected cats and pigs but was mostly similar to one that is known to have infected dogs.
Maryland establishes COVID-19 vaccine lottery, offering $2M in prize money
Gov. Larry Hogan announced a partnership between the Maryland Lottery and the department of health for daily drawings of $40,000 for Maryland residents who have been vaccinated. |
Those who receive a COVID-19 vaccine in Maryland have a chance to win some serious cash thanks to a new incentive program from the Maryland Department of Health and the Maryland Lottery, Gov. Larry Hogan announced Thursday.
Drawings will begin May 25 and continue for 40 days, through July 4. Those who win will receive $40,000, except the July 4 drawing, which will be offering a grand prize of $400,000.
“Entry is very simple — all you have to do is get vaccinated here in Maryland, be a Maryland resident and be 18 or older,” Hogan said.
Those who have already been vaccinated in the state have been entered into the lottery already.
Maryland Lottery and Gaming Director Gordon Medenica said the lottery will be handled anonymously, so no one needs to worry about their medical information being used inappropriately.
The Maryland Department of Health is attaching a string of numbers in a spreadsheet with each vaccine-recipient’s name and information. The Maryland Lottery will then generate random numbers, and the department of health will check its database against the winning number.
Hogan said getting vaccinated in the state is easier than ever, with over 3,000 sites available to receive a vaccine.
“Remember Marylanders: Get your shot for a shot to win,” Hogan said. “That’s a good line.”
POLITICS VS STUDENTS IN RACINE
Wisconsin parents have spent the last year scrambling to help cover learning loss created by the pandemic. For students living in Racine, any learning loss is particularly harmful considering the district was a low-performing school district prior to the pandemic. Despite this unfortunate reality, local leaders in Racine continue to purposefully confuse parents and make it as difficult as possible for families to access the educational options available to their students.
The first thing the district did was update their website to refer to its own public-school options as the “School Choice” program. Of course, the phrasing of this option is misleading for parents when the state has long referred to the Racine, Wisconsin and Milwaukee Parental Choice Programs as the “choice programs.” In fact, the Department of Public Instruction’s (DPI) website for parents to complete applications is called the “private school choice programs.” The district is actually referring to the public school options available to its students within the district that are not assigned to students based on their address.

All-In Milwaukee to support students from Racine with donation from Fisk Johnson
Fisk Johnson |
Three years after launching to support low-income Milwaukee students through college, nonprofit organization All-In Milwaukee is expanding to serve students in Racine.
The expansion is funded by a personal donation from Fisk Johnson, chairman and chief executive officer of S.C. Johnson & Sons Inc.
Johnson’s gift will fund renewable scholarships of up to $18,000 over four years for five seniors at St. Catherine’s High School in Racine. The Dr. Fisk Johnson STEM Scholarship recipients will also receive support and advising from All-In Milwaukee’s advisors for up to six years.
“In a time when college enrollment has plunged for limited-income students during the pandemic, we are thrilled to have the generous support of Dr. Johnson,” said Allison Wagner, executive director of All-In Milwaukee. “This is our first regional expansion and we are excited to welcome students from Racine into our program. The All-In Milwaukee selection committee was extremely impressed by St. Catherine’s student applications and we are thrilled to support Dr. Johnson’s investment in these high-performing, high-need students that are the future, diverse talent pipeline for southeastern Wisconsin.”
All-In Milwaukee launched in fall 2018 to provide high-achieving students with support to help them navigate the financial, academic and social challenges of college. There are currently 200 college freshmen, sophomores and juniors in All-In’s program, including 100% limited-income students of color and 94% first-generation college students from various Milwaukee schools.
Participating students attend one of All-In Milwaukee’s partner colleges, which include Alverno College, Carroll University, Marquette University, Milwaukee School of Engineering, Wisconsin Lutheran College, UW-Madison, UW-Milwaukee and UW-Whitewater. Among the St. Catherin’s class of 2021 scholarship recipients, two will attend UW-Madison, two will attend MSOE and one will attend Marquette University.
“We are blessed that students from the next three graduating classes at St. Catherine’s High School will be eligible for these scholarships,” said Brenda White, president of Siena Catholic Schools of Racine. “This commitment to our community from Dr. Johnson further supports our continuing expansion in STEM programming at the high school and grade school levels.”
All-In Milwaukee has received support from various corporate sponsors, including a $1.6 million gift from Northwestern Mutual and a $1 million gift from Hal Leonard Corp. chairman Keith Mardak and his wife, former Hal Leonard executive Mary Vandenberg. The organization launched with a $1 million gift from Darren Jackson, retired chief executive officer of Advance Auto Parts and a Marquette University alumnus, along with gifts from Milwaukee-based Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc. executives and its foundation.
Man Charged After Disturbances At Businesses
by Emma Widmar
RACINE – A 23-year-old Racine was apprehended after causing disturbances at two businesses and allegedly punching a store manager on Tuesday.
Jacque M. Fipps was charged by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office with misdemeanor battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly contact, three counts of felony bail jumping and three counts of misdemeanor bail jumping. All of the charges carry a repeat offender penalty enhancers.
According to the criminal complaint, Racine Police were dispatched to Meineke Car Care, 6006 21st St., about 5:52 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a male who was running in and out of the roadway, going through cars and damaging property. Police dispatch was advised by Fipps’ sister that he had relapsed into meth use and was under the influence. Officers searched the area around the business but were unable to locate Fipps.
A short time later, police were called to Dunham’s Sporting Goods in Regency Mall, 5600 Durand Ave. on a report of a man who had walked into the store, thrown items on the floor and punched an employee in the face. Police found Fipps walking in the mall’s north parking lot where he was observed making gang hand signs, “appeared to be talking to himself and having difficulties keeping his balance,” the complaint stated. He was taken into custody.
A Dunham’s manager told police that he was told by an employee that a man, later identified as Fipps, had entered the store, starting throwing merchandise around and left. Fipps then re-entered Dunham’s where the manager confronted him and told him to leave. The manager followed Fipps by about 1 foot to make sure he was leaving. Fipps told the manager that he would “square up on you” if he didn’t stop following. He then punched the manager in the mouth, splitting his lip. Police also observed a broken store mannequin laying on the ground and merchandise thrown around in several locations.
Fipps made an initial court appearance on Wednesday where cash bond was set at $250 and a signature bond was set at $2,000. Fipps was also ordered to have no contact with Meineke Car Care or Dunham’s Sporting Goods. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 3 at the Racine County Law Enforcement Center, 717 Wisconsin Ave.

The Synagogue of Satan
By their fruits ye shall know them
I'm entirely confident that the "Andrew Anglin" who wrote this column at Unz is not the "Andrew Anglin" I debated a few years ago. Regardless, the column is a sobering reminder that "Judeo-Christianity" is not Christianity, the god worshipped by the Jews is not the Heavenly Father of Jesus Christ, and providing post-WWII safe harbor to the Jewish diaspora appears to have served Americans about as well as doing so previously served the Egyptians, the Babylonians, the Russians, and the British.
My Nation Blessed Israel and All I Got Was a Mulatto Tranny Grandchild
When I was a child in the 1990s, evangelical preachers and televangelists were claiming that God would “bless” a nation that “blesses” the genocidal Jew state of Israel.
Yet, here were are, 30 years later, and America has consistently “blessed” Israel. We have given them hundreds of billions of dollars over the last decades, and we have spent trillions fighting wars for them. Our boys have been sent to be maimed and to die in the name of Israel. Our government’s entire foreign policy is built around promoting the interests of Israel. We have also allowed Jews who live in America to operate unhindered, and to take over all of our institutions.
Once a religion that condemned the Jews as the murderers and rejecters of Christ, American Christianity has continued a process of being restructured to set Israel and the Jews at the center of it. Any given evangelical pastor is more likely to discuss Israel, and the importance of helping the Jews, than he is to discuss real world problems America faces. American Christians accepted the reclassification of Christianity as “Judeo-Christianity.”
America has engaged in an Israel-blessing orgy for decades, when traditional Christians were cleansed from the Republican Party and the conservative movement as a whole....
The implication of the massive dip in the quality of American life and the American experience is that God doesn’t actually bless nations that bless Israel. In fact, the assumption would have to be that God dooms nations that bless Israel.
This raises the obvious question, of course: which god is that?
Unless and until you understand that the religious Jews worship the god of this world, not God the Father of Jesus Christ, and that their current objective is to destroy a) Christianity, b) Western Civilization, and c) Russia, you will never understand how and why the United States doomed itself by failing to sink the ships before WWI and after WWII. You will also not understand why the USA is almost certainly going to find itself fighting wars with both Russia and China in the next decade, and why it will lose those wars, unless it collapses of its own internal contradictions first.
If you don't believe me, force yourself to read Ben Shapiro's most recent book. You will be unable to avoid noticing how the entire purpose of the book is to subvert and redefine, not only America, but Western Civilization itself. If Americans wish to survive as a nation, they must turn back to Jesus Christ. And that is the one thing that "those who bless Israel" are absolutely determined to prevent, regardless of what they profess themselves to be.
A refusal to take a strong stand against those who reject God and serve the devil is not a virtue for anyone, least of all the Christian. As for "judeochristianity", it would be more honestly labeled as "pharisatanry".
Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”
- John 8: 42-47
Don't even bother playing the usual semantic games with irrelevant Scofield citations. The Sermon on the Mount, to which the linked article implicitly appeals, is conclusive on the subject. Any argument you might have is not with me, but with Jesus Christ of Nazareth himself.
By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
Matthew 7: 16-19
Ask yourself these questions and answer them honestly to the best of your ability: has the Jewish diaspora borne good fruit or bad fruit for the United States of America? Specifically what divine blessings do Americans appear to have enjoyed since 1946 and 1965? And why does the USA in 2021 appear to look increasingly like the USSR in 1921?

Vaccine Freebies Abound for Those Who Get the Shot
Incentives include a chance at $1 million in Ohio, free food and drink, tickets to events
These days you can get free doughnuts, a beer on the house, tickets to an amusement park, a no-cost hunting license or cold, hard cash if you get a COVID-19 vaccination.
And then there's Ohio: The governor there recently announced that adults who get vaccines will be eligible to enter a drawing for one of five $1 million awards, or for teens, one of five full, four-year scholarships to an Ohio state school, including room and board, tuition and books.
Carl Hunnel, 60, the city editor for the Richland Source news organization based in Mansfield, Ohio, already has been vaccinated, but he says he'll be signing up for the lottery. “I've already got the shot, so if they say go to this website and fill this out ... I'd be dumb not to,” he says.
Judging by the variety of incentives out there, tangible encouragements are seen as just the nudge some reluctant vaccine takers need.
Emily Largent, an assistant professor of medical ethics and health policy at the University of Pennsylvania, says using diverse incentives — ranging from free food to cash and gift cards — will encourage people with different motivations to get vaccinated. The offers may be particularly helpful for younger people or those without preexisting conditions who are less concerned about the public health benefits of vaccinations.
"The variety is probably good, just like how everybody wants something different at a smorgasbord,” Largent says. “We give people more options and hopefully encourage more people to come along.”
Some won't be swayed by freebies, particularly those who are wary of vaccines, she says: “There are a lot of reasons why people aren't getting vaccinated, and incentives will not help with all of those reasons."
For those who want to go all in and get the most out of their vaccinations, here's some of what's being offered:
Read more: https://www.aarp.org/health/conditions-treatments/info-2021/vaccine-incentives.html
What about the people who did the right thing and got their vaccination as soon as they were eligible? Once again, the system rewards those who grift it. No wonder we are a nation of liars and thieves.
Microsoft's Internet Explorer is dying next y...*loading*
How will you download Google Chrome now?
If you were around the time when dial-up internet was still a popular way to connect to the world wide web, you've most probably used Internet Explorer (IE) and clenched your fists in frustration — just IE shenanigans. Well, after being in existence for over 25 years, the antiquated Microsoft browser is being retired in favor of Edge next year.
The Internet Explorer 11 desktop application will retire and go out of support on June 15, 2022, and will no longer be available on any consumer versions of Windows 10. The announcement has been a long time coming, and the end of support for Microsoft 365 apps (OneDrive, Outlook, etc.) on the browser was already announced last year.

Tesla Drivers Test Autopilot’s Limits, Attracting Audiences—and Safety Concerns
Tesla Inc. Chief Executive Elon Musk for years has been championing his vehicles’ driver-assistance system called Autopilot and forecasting that self-driving cars are an emerging reality. Some would-be social media stars and Tesla owners can’t seem to wait.
Param Sharma, 25, has posted multiple videos to Instagram in which he appears to operate a Tesla while in the back seat with nobody at the wheel. Police in California arrested Mr. Sharma on May 10 for alleged reckless driving after an officer said he saw him operating a Tesla Model 3 from the back seat on a Bay Area highway.
Similar videos abound on social media, even though Tesla’s technology is intended only as a way to assist drivers, who are instructed to keep their hands on the wheel. Echoing Mr. Musk’s penchant for pushing the envelope, some Tesla drivers over years have created an online-video genre out of testing what’s possible with their vehicles, in some cases appearing to override safety functions to perform stunts that they post to YouTube or TikTok.
One TikTok user shared a video last year that appeared to depict a Tesla going more than 60 miles an hour on a highway with no one in the driver’s seat while its passengers drank hard seltzer and sang along to Justin Bieber. The video, which refers to the car as the designated driver, has 1.7 million likes. The video’s poster didn’t respond to requests for comment.
