Four thieves on Milwaukee's northwest side attemtped to carjack a 1995 Ford Ranger as it proceeded down an alley early this morning. One of the men pulled out a gun and stood in front of the vehicle. All went according to plan until the would-be badasses realized that the truck was a stick shift and none of them knew how to operate it.

With the possibly of getting caught, and going to prison, you think if they're going to time, they would go for a Benz or something flashy, but a 1995 Ford Ranger manual tranny????
hilarious!
I can just see them... WHAT IS that extra pedal for?? LMAO
We had a similar case here in Racine last year, but I don't think it made the paper.
A young female pizza delivery driver was assaulted by a man who then attempted to take her car. It was speculated that after he knocked her unconscious, he went outside presumably to ditch her car. While he was trying to figure out how the stick shift worked, she woke up and confronted him. He took off running and was soon caught by the cops.
Get a British (right-hand drive) car with stick and no one would touch it.
That's funny!
Too bad that the car that got stolen from me didn't have a stickshift. If I only would have known...
