I have been negligent in blogging recently...very busy but hope to get back to normal soon. I totally forgot to blog that the band Before Dawn was playing at McAuliffe's in Racine last night. I wish I could have been there as the young woman in the band is a former student of mine. They play at Art Bar in Milwaukee tonight.
Did anyone see them? If so, how are they? As frequently happens with former students, I haven't seen her in years, but we are now facebook buds. I am waiting for their southwest tour.

Great tune, hale! This is the first time I've ever heard of the them. They rock!
I've not heard of them either. Too bad I missed them. I really liked the vid.
Since I live nearby, perhaps the young lad that stood under the street light and urinated in the middle of my road after bar closing time was on his way home from there....
If you ever saw The World's Fastest Indian, you'd know you're supposed to urinate on lemon trees. Makes great fertilizer. At least the kid used the street and not the side of your house....
I like the song, too.
I don't even know where McAuliffe's is.
I don't know about lemon trees, but I think pee is too salty for most plants.
I go to McAuliffe’s but I won’t stay and listen to the music. They play it sooooo loud, you walk out and your ears literally hurt. They actually sell earplugs at the bar!
Now that doesn’t make any sense to me no matter how good the band is.
Cool band. Now to get a little off topic. Pee is not to salty for plants but it is high in nitrogen and can burn the roots. If you dilute it about 10:1 with water is is great for your plants. Really heats up a compost pile too!
A Reader,
I Googled it and you are correct about urine as fertilizer. Some variation about dilution rates and application rates and lengths. One site did mention pee's saltiness. Anyway, I knew that nitrogen in some fertilizers is derived from urea, but I'd never heard or thought about using pee to do it yourself.
This is Rob from Before Dawn here. The show we played in Racine was great fun. The owner of the joint, JJ, is one of the nicest persons we have ever met in the biz.
