I just think this is kind of fun to compare. Now for the record I am single, one full time job, one part time job, three cats. I am sure I spend an above average amount on reading and insurance/pensions (but only because I max out Roth IRA contributions each year). People pay at least my expenses for me to go to classes, so I am below average on education. My car is paid off so you can put below average on transportation and its fairly efficient (could be better) and I own a paid off scooter which gets great mileage so I am below average there as well. I don't see vacation/travel specifically mentioned...maybe lumped under entertainment? I do well at travel and vacation, so I probably spend as much on that as the average 2.5 person family! Tabacco, 0%. I own a townhome and adding everything up, comes up a bit short of average.Anyway, I thought this was interesting enough to post. Any surprises on how you compare?

Only $475 for alcohol?????? That is the budget for each JTI gathering. tee hee. Ok, seriously, it is fun to compare.

Huck, that would fall under entertainment or personal. ;)
They have alcohol and tobacco at a combined 1.6% of expenditures. When I drank and smoked, it was probably 50%.
