"Two men were shot to death Tuesday while trying to rob a convenience store on Milwaukee's north side, police said.
"The men were armed and wearing masks and gloves when they entered the store at N. 12th and W. Chambers streets about 10:45 a.m., Milwaukee police Capt. Edith Hudson said. They announced that a robbery was taking place but were then shot by a customer or customers, who ran from the store, Hudson said. No arrests have been made, she said."

The family of one of the would-be robbers claims he was innocent.
"The police is telling a lie. I know he didn't go around in the store trying to rob anybody," one of their mothers said.
Police said that the man had arrests for drugs, armed robbery and weapons violations.

Orbs...the link is broke...
Unreal, apparently this woman does not know her son or he was darn good at hiding things from her.
Maybe they where just early “trick-or-treaters”! Mask, guns, gloves and announced it was a robbery...uhmmmmmm, I guess they could be misconstrued as robbers instead of “trick-or-treaters”.
Thanks for the tip, SER. It's fixed now. I don't know why I've been screwing up the links lately.
Just because someone wears a mask and gloves into a store, brandishes a gun and announces a stick up, is no reason to think that they're up to no good.
I, too, believe the police is lying.
He was a good boy, don't pay attention to those prior incidents... he was cleaning up his life. We've heard it before. No accountability.
I heard the woman talking on TV and I thought, "Who in the heck is she talking about?" Talking about some kind of bandana and blood all over the place. I thought maybe her son was injured in the melee. My first rule in my BOOK OF RULES....The whole world is Nuts!
Must be a short book of rules. What more do you need after that, Sassa? ;>
#2 Pack heat (and let everyone know) LOLOLOL
Yea right mama! I always see people going into a convenience store wearing a mask and toting heat to pick up a gallon of milk! Sounds like there were three people not just one. The customer and his friends Smith and Wesson (or Strum and Ruger).
Why does the family always come forward and claim innocence and defend them after they have been caught dead handed doing a crime?
Yes, that was a pun.
Yesterday I was checking out at Walgreen's when a kid came in wearing a sweatshirt with the hood on. Mind you it was in the 80's. I was getting my bags in order and the girl asked him what he wanted and he said he wasn't sure. Scared the you know what out of me. I grabbed my stuff and hustled out of there.
You just never know anymore. Although I do know this. If I hear one more mother stating her son who was shot to death committing a robbery was a good boy, I'm going to puke.
Yeah, the hoodies. They're great for keeping you warm. But if you're living the fast, dangerous life of a street criminal, why would you want to wear something that obstructs both your hearing and peripheral vision?
