Freaky.........
Did it to me just now when I clicked on police reports..WTF? I haven't posted since the new "site" was up and running and rarely go on it, seems like one problem after another, guess I won't go there anymore
That's hilarious. I just went there and everything seemed OK. I wonder if someone hacked their site?
Coincidentally (or is it?), this pops up occasionally now when I click on pictures hosted by blogspot: http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn6/orbscorbs/nortonsitesafety.png. I have Norton Internet Security installed. It only happens on some of the pics, and so far I've ignored it without consequence.
I'm scared to go there! I haven't logged in in who knows how long, just clicked to read the story, not comment.
That's weird Orbs. That's the same thing. The next one that came up said to DL the antivirus scanner.
DO NOT download the antivirus scanner. Never accept or download anything from the net that you haven't initiated.
I really have no idea what could've gone on. You see those kinds of things on crappy sites that are selling crappy software that does more harm than good.
Oh, don't worry.. I won't! Just kinda freaked me out when I couldn't close the second one. I had to shut the tab to make it go away. There was no 'later' or 'no thanks' just click okay. Couldn't close it either.
Never click on a pop up that shows a warning! Most often they are not legit. If you ever feel you need to run antivirus scans, these are two very reliable free online scans:
www.pandasecurity.com/activescan/
housecall65.trendmicro.com/
Note: they take at least one hour to fully run depending on how many files you have.
Never give you computer to a city IT employee to check for viruses and malware, either.
JT site just did the same to me. Had a pop up come up and switched to some bullshit program like it was scanning my computer.
I guess I'm glad it wasn't just my computer.
The second one didn't popup, it opened a new tab. Which really freaked me out.
Going to run a major scan tonight, for sure!
I recently had my computer cleaned and it took two tries to get everything out of there. The 'Doc' said I should not download limewire (a favorite of mine) because it's illegal. Darn. He also said the "CA" spam thing was one of the best...supplied by Road Runner. So that's what I have now. I used to have Avast and he said that was not even on the list of Anti-spam programs. I also mentioned Norton Which came with my computer and he said that was number three on the list. So I am happy and have not had any problems.
I also had a tool bar with Auto fill which I loved. It would automatically fill in all my info when I requested it..like email address, name, address, etc. I don't have that anymore but I remember where you can 'program' certain keys to do this. Does any one know how to do this?
So thats what caused it! I was out there the other day and the next thing I know my computer is doing the virus thing. I turned it off, restarted and ran our virus scan. Another reason to stay off the site.
Do they even know that someone is hijacking their site?
Do they even care?
Bwahaaaaa... did someone say spamming? lol
Boy it wasn't a half hour and my computer came up with 'I had 3 Trojan viruses'. Scary! I clicked to get rid of it and up came a screen asking for my credit card #. Then I called the 'Doc". He said don't do it. I was to run a security scan and virus scan immediately and reset my computer to a couple of days ago. This is the site I was on..JTIrregulars. WOW
Found a Trojan Horse on my computer when we ran the scan.
My computer's clean. Ran a full system scan.
"personal antivirus" is a rogue malicious software program that wants you to send them money. Clicking anything only makes it worse. I can not get on your site at all on my main computer, I'm on my laptop now! My antivirus is AVG, they know all about this and are working on a correction. My advice is do not click on anything, run your computers full scan and then contact your antivirus folks.

I'm clean too. Shaved, showered, scanned... no viruses. ;>
I don't hang around with those loose, germy JT boys. Nope.
Sassa, I don't believe you picked up anything here.... I've clicked everything on this site and have no problems.
