MMMmmmmm Mmmmmm, Vat grown meat. Slaughter houses will be a thing of the past. I knew this day was coming. All I need to do is stay alive twenty more years and they will have old age licked. A gene transfusion to fix my ailment, and tooth buds we grow as needed. The only problem is we're all still savages. We aren't ready as social; animals for the new age. Heinlein had the world I dreamed of.down to a tee. Don't be bothered by what goes on next door unless the participants are unwilling. Lynch infractions of social etiquette. No excuse for a line cutter, lynch em on the spot. Oh yeah, vat grown meat is right around the corner.

"Scientists turn stem cells into pork" - I don't know why, but I laughed out loud when I read that. I love it, grow your own bacon.
I find it kind of creepy. Just like modified agriculture. When you start messing with the DNA of plants and animals, you never know the long term reproductive effects.
But, a new tooth bud is interesting! If you only fix the parts of old, unreproductive people??? Hmmmm.
"spread the word: 'Soylent Green is people! We've got to stop them somehow!'"
It really is compelling, kk, the potential for so much good and so much bad at the same time. As I understand it, there are millions of seeds stored of native grains and other plants, more out of fear of nuclear holocaust and/or natural disaster than genetic mutations. But the more we mess with Ma Nature, the greater the danger for screwing up big time.
