Friends, I have been out of touch for over two weeks...my computer is disconnected and my office is in disarray...we are redoing the whole thing, creating havoc to a once disorganized mess. now the mess is intruding my bedroom, laundry-room and any other place I can stash my office goodies until such time as this project is completed.
The point of this blog, however, is that that commercial with the goofball telling you all how great AT&T and their wireless connection is full of beanie babies...I have been off-line more than on-line and now, somehow, this little computer has hooked into someone's wireless in the neighborhood...the hell with you, AT&T, I don't need you!!! I have some poor neighbor whose router is near enough to let me in the door...has to be some connection since the closet neighbor does not have internet service at all....
I should be back on line soon....and am buying one of those all in one touch screen 'puters....any input on those, guys?

So happy to hear you haven't been dissin us irregular folk! I'm fine on AT&T's wireless. Maybe your troubles are due to wallpaper glue??? ;>
Sorry beejay, no advice on that technology... google it, then check it out on c-net's ratings and reviews. Read what others have to say about it.
But, I DO need to warn others to check into putting a password on your wireless network. You can go a step further and not broadcast your wireless network. (I do that) You input your computer's MAC address to only allow those computers that you have authorized on your network to even see it.
Welcome back Beejay.
I don't know nothing about wireless,
I don't know nothing about touch screen computers.
I don't know nothing.
Orbs, that is so not true...you know plenty about plenty.....
I am, once again, hooked into some wireless...weird, just plain weird...
I'm checking out the sites on the touch screen...it is so cool...no separate CPU and a nice big screen.
And now to top things off for the day, I blew out a circuit breaker with my vacuum cleaner....I should know better than to waste time cleaning!!!! Blew up the vac and the laundryroom and garage outlets and lights...oh dear...little Mr. Hoover would be so proud of the power of his machine!
Hey Beejay...
Sorry I too cannot help with the high tech stuff.
I use Roadrunner and have a wireless router but all my computers are hardwired using Ethernet cables. I also have the wireless password protected so if you connect to it you have to enter a password or it does not connect your computer.
Glad to hear from you! For a while there, I thought a snake got you.
Okay, I will not leave any anonymous postings up on my blogs...either you say who you are, or you don't get to play in my yard!
Call their mother on them, beejay. I don't think they are supposed to leave their own yards.
I think I'll do just that, kk!
