Have you tried it? I just wasted the entire afternoon and early eve watching the entire season of Hell's Kitchen. All the closed caption is garbled on channel 6 so I don't watch the only TV I ever bothered with. House and HK. The House story line seems to have gotten flakey so might not start in on it again. But this is about Internet TV, and Hulu.com in particular
The first time I tried it the streaming was all jerky and slow. Also there was no Closed Captioning, so pointless to watch. My, have things improved. Hulu offers three choices for CC fonts now, black, black background w/white font, and high contrast yellow. I had no problem with streaming either. I am having a problem with losing a portion of the picture with full screen enabled, but the viewing window is easy to see and CC large enough for easy reading. And the commercials.... Oy, the commercials. I do things during commercial breaks. They break for 60 seconds. You can't DO anything in sixty seconds. Oh wait... a PAUSE? TOOOO COOL! An hour long show is just 42 minutes! NINE episodes in just seven hours and that included fixing supper. There is the problem of having to wait until the day after a program airs, but so what? They have the ENTIRE season of many programs. That's a worthy trade off. I think I found a new toy.

I tried this some time ago, unfortunately it doesn't work outside of the US. I was really bummed because there are a lot of shows I would love to see. I really want to watch the new Conan show but can't get access to it outside of the US. They say on hulu.com that they hope in the near future they will be able to allow us access to it as well, but that will have to wait for a bunch of legal matters..
Do they have HBO and Showtime series as well.. I love Dexter and would love to watch that as well..
Yes, I've used this and other sites like them. It's great if you sit to watch a program and fall asleep before the end. (that happens to me too frequently)
You might have to get your fix quickly, though. I've read that soon there will be less full versions of shows available on the internet.
There is some new squabble going on over people stopping cable service and only watching online.
Less might be available, and it might be mainly older stuff. We've heard these threats before, though.....
I used one once, can't remember the name of it, but I find it hard to watch a movie on a computer monitor.
I watch Naruto Shippuden each week on Hulu... It's translated from Japanese to English using captions
I've used it. I agree, it's gotten a lot better than it used to be.
Don't know if you know, but most TV stations carry the shows online too. CBS, ABC, TNT, NBC, TBS, USA etc.
If you are looking for a TV show or movie, google it and it will bring up the channel.
We have Comcast for cable and internet here. They have on demand tv and movies to watch online. Some do come from HULU.
I've considered dropping cable TV numerous times, keeping only the internet connection. I'll have to check out Hulu again. Maybe it's some sort of psychological block - I've grown up with TV and can't cut the umbilical cable cord.
I have no problem with using the computer monitor for TV because that is how I normally watch TV - I have a tuner card in my PC. But I also use a "real" (old) small TV in the bedroom to fall asleep to. Maybe I should try one of those indoor digital TV antennas for that. Rabbit ears (or a coat hanger) won't do the trick anymore.
