Water level is next to flood level, I would say it has a couple more feet to go to become a problem, but it is moving right along!

I didn't know we get Blue Heron around here. Thanks for the pics.
Is this level normal for spring with the winter melt-off?
WOW. I guess. Were you In Racine In I think 1963 when the entire area flooded? My Aunt and Uncle and Cousins lived on Luedtke Ave. at the time. It was amazing.
Cool crane pictures! Thanks. I don't think I've ever seen one up close, but occasionally you can see them flying overhead.
Orbs, fast melting snow and rain combination is causing the rivers to rise fast. The Fox river is also at flood levels. The Mississippi by Wabasha is dangerously close to flooding.
Toadman...I have picturs of Luedtke Ave under water. That's when Spring street was closed off because of it. It was a bitch because Main St was under construction, Memorial Dr and a couple others and it was terrible trying to drive across town.
I was in town but 12 yrs old and oblivious. I remember the flood from a few years back.
My mom lived through the past flood and the one in the 60s (she's lived in the same house since she was 10).. My parents live off of Luedtke right by the river.. It's amazing growing up next to that river we've seen that river rise and never got nervous (after the flood in the 60s they said they did something that would stop it from flooding), it was always cool to see how far up in the park it would get.. now after the last flood anytime it starts to rise my parents run in the basement and lift everything off of the floor..
The Wolf River up north flooded on hwy 45. I seen it last weekend.
The Root River is real high by 4 mile rd.
June of 2008 is when it flooded last. That's the date on the pictures I have
Ser I thought that was the river that flooded last summer.
Nice pictures!
I've seen dozens of herons around here. Most of them I've seen are Up North.
Yeah, the Wolf River has flooded over its banks nearby Appleton.
We blogged about the flood when we started the JTI.
growing up next to the river herons were a common sight..
Seeing those pictures again, put a pit in my stomach.. It was hard for me being over here, and not being able to help back at home.. Everything if fine now but it was a worrysome time..
Love the pics...always good to see some of Racine.
