Hello everybody! Welcome back to Four for Fridays! I know it's an early post, but I have the tomorrow (or today rather) off from work and I plan on sleeping in. So here are some random questions...
1) What is your favorite meal of the day? Breakfast, lunch or dinner?
2) Do you pick up pennies off the ground and "save" them?
3) How fast have you ever driven your car?
4) What is your favorite nursery rhyme?
Enjoy your weekend! (I know I will!)

1. I get up so early I usually don't remember breakfast, so I'll guess supper
2. nope
3. don't want to say, I may incriminate myself :)
4. can't think of any
1) Yes, and snacks.
2) Yes, I also "save" nickels and dimes (I use quarters for laundry), but I cash them in at the bank after a couple of cups are filled. My next door neighbor recently cashed in two large coffee cans filled with quarters for an amount that stunned me: nine hundred and sixty some dollars.
3) My current truck, I'd guess around 80. I know it will do more, but my eyes are nowhere near what they should be. The fastest I've ever driven is 100 mph in my old '76 Chevy. My ex-father-in-law once had me in his souped-up Cuda at 125 mph on county roads after we had been drinking beer and tequila in a bar with his friends all morning. He yelled at me for leaving a sweaty palm print on the dashboard from my outstretched arm. I loved him. He said a friend had driven his car to 165, but he was afraid to push it that far himself. Those were the days of muscle cars.
4) Gee, I don't know. I wasn't brought up with the nursery rhymes that most American kids learned. I didn't hear them till school. None of them stick out, though. Uh, Humpty Dumpty, because I saw cartoons of it. No, Hansel and Gretel, because it involves cannibalism.
1. No real preference. Some meals are great no matter their timing.
2. Not anymore.
3. Car, about 115, motorcycle, 134 (they used to allow you to test ride very powerful motorcycles at the dealership. silly dealers.... )
4. None
1. Probably dinner. I like to eat, so anytime is good. If I had my druthers, I'd snack smaller meals all day.
2. Definitely! A penny saved is a penny earned. Besides, found money is doubly good, a raise that is not taxed.
3. Not sure... maybe 90 mph? Seinfeld said you should be allowed to drive your age. As you get older, you should be allowed to drive faster, you have less time left.
4. Unlike orbs, I can recite them ALL. I think Mary, Mary quite contrary. I can still hear my mom's voice with that one.
Thanks Drew for the thought provoking questions...lol
1. Dinner or as LM calls it..supper
2. I think I am the moron who throws them on the ground...I hate pennies, the coin ones, not the female name.
3. Well according to the police report...
4. Got to be Humpty Dumpty... I feel sorry for the poor dude, just minding his own business and all that has to happen. lol
Thanks for the Seiny reference KK...too funny.
1. I really like going out for breakfast because thats something that is not very common in Sweden (they just don't know good breakfasts in Sweden) but as a whole I think I like supper best.
2. I don't come in contact with pennies so often, when I do.. I suppose I do pick them up.. its good luck..
3. hmm.. I would probably guess 80-85 possibly up close to 90 at the most.. but that was a long time ago.. I've become quite the sensible driver since having such precious cargo..
4. hmmm.. don't know if I can name a favorite.. maybe the one with the cow jumping over the moon, just cause there is so much going on..
1) Yes
2) Damn right I do. My grandmother would pick one up and say "99 more and I have a dollar."
3) I take the 5th
4) There once was a man from Nantucket
1. I'll say supper.
2. I always pick up pennies and make a wish. Then they go in my piggy bank.
3. 85 and that was to keep up with traffic.
4. Jack & Jill
1) Dinner when my boyfriend makes it!
2) Yes
3) I can't say because I will get yelled at!
4) none!
I hope everyone has a real good weekend!
1) Breakfast
2) I pick up all change on the ground and it goes right in my pocket with the rest until I get home then in the change jar, except what I drop on the floor around the house.
3) 145 on a motorcycle and 150 in a car, motorcycle was mine, car belonged to someone else.
4) favorite nursery rhyme? - Don't think I have one....
1. Breakfast
2. Only If they are FACE UP
3. 90 MPH
4. Mary had a little Lamb
1) I don't get it as often as I want it, breakfast. I just love scrambled eggs, ham and sausage in the mornings.
2) I do. The last time I cashed my pennies in, I got $80. Used it to buy lunch. Talk about free meal.
3) Close to 90mph on the stretch of freeway between Germantown on Fond du Lac.
4) Loved "Twinkle Little Star" when I was a kid.
SER, Driven, or ridden. Still beat me as I've ridden in a car doing 140. Always wanted to do a land speed. I drove from Mountain View CA, to Sturtevant in 32 hours including a stop in North Platt NE to drop off a hitch hiker's gear at the cop shop that I allowed to drive while I tried to nap, and a four hour nap that I needed before I hit the road again. The speedo was rarely below 90. That trip was the longest distance I ever sped. 2,260 miles. God, I loved speed.
