I think I saw The Tubes back in the day. Honestly, I don't remember - lots of heavy drinking and drugging. I didn't know that I had seen Blondie until my ex-wife told me years later. I still don't remember that concert.
Anyway, I kinda got into the Quay Lewd character, and I like "White Punks on Dope," but The Tubes just weren't my cup of tea.
Same thing with Frank Zappa. I know that many people consider him a genius, and I like some of his stuff, but I rarely go out of my way to listen to his music.
And Dave Matthews. His music almost makes my flesh crawl, but everyone I know loves him.
