Dubstep is a form of music I've been paying attention to lately. Wikipedia says, "
Dubstep (
/ˈdʌbstɛp/) is a genre of
electronic dance music that originated in south
London, England. Its overall sound has been described as 'tightly coiled productions with overwhelming bass lines and reverberant drum patterns, clipped samples, and occasional vocals'.

Some dubstep I like, and some I hate. It's not a genre that I can say I love, but there are interesting things happening there.

Interesting. Not so sure about this genre, but the guy can really move.
The original song, by Foster the People, is very popular right now. I've seen the band on the Late Night talk show circuit. The original song kind of grows on you, but the lyrics are almost frighteningly dark. Pumped Up Kicks Lyrics, AZLyrics
I like the original song. References to guns in music no longer faze me. Right off, I thought of three other songs I like that contain references to guns.
Dubstep is strange. Though I don't dance, the bass lines of dance music attract me. The electronic music, it seems to be, is either very good or very bad, usually the latter.
Every once in a while you see something that sets you back on your heels and you say to yourself, "That ... is something new ... something new is happening ..." That's what I feel when I see this video.
