I have a terribly talented sister-in-law.. I do like to share music from here so I thought I would share some from her recent concert she had.. I'm always amazed that she can do this, I have known her since she was just a tiny little girl and she has always been a limelight ham.. here she is in a couple of songs..
The first song is about things she is afraid of..
Second song about her struggles to trust..
This song is inspired from a short story that her mother wrote about her mother.. About a cardinal (a bird that my Mother-in-law loved) that my MIL saw the day her mother died of cancer.. I wish I could send a copy of the short story along but I dont have a copy of it.. it's beautiful and the song compliments it so well
There are a few more songs.. if you are interested in any of them she does have a FB page where she has put them up and I think even a youtube channel.. I just really felt like I had to show her off a little..

Very nice, Why Not. BTW, don't you just hate terribly talented people? lol... I'm going to borrow that one from you.
My daughter, when she was in high school, stood up in front of large audiences and sang... beautifully. I was amazed. I could never have the moxie to do that. It has taken me years to learn to barely look people in the eye.
Thanks for sharing something so personal and dear to your heart. She has a beautiful voice.
Why Not, she is very talented. Great voice and guitar playing. And she writes the songs, too? Wow.
thank you all.. and I didnt even think about how strange of a wording terribly talented was.. haha.. quite funny.. it's like in Swedish they have a saying when something is very small.. jätte liten which means gigantically small.. also quite funny..
The man playing the upright bass in the background is her fiance also terribly talented (now I'm going to giggle everytime I use that)
She's been writing her own songs for as long as I have known her, and her guitar and piano skills have gotten so much better through the years.. I'm very proud of her, just wished she lived closer would have loved to see her live..
terribly talented – Is that an oxymoron?
In my group of buddies in college, one of them was a "terribly talented" singer and guitar player. He did his own songs and lots of Arlo Guthrie and early Jimmy Buffet type songs. He would play at bars and such, so we could go with him and get all the free beer and food while he played. His last song of the night was a killer, I remember the words to this day. It was titled "Queen of the Bar Room" 9 times out of 10, that song got us all thrown out of these fine establishments. Too funny. Sorry,Why Not, maybe I should learn how to post my own thingys. lol
Yes I do believe that would be an oxymoron..
Quite alright Jed that's the fun part of all this, to get to hear other experiences..
Actually now thinking back, the title of the last song he sung that got us heaved was "Feminine Hygiene Blues." a classic, but "Queen of the bar room " was pretty good too. lol
After hearing this, Why Not?, I think your sister-in-law will go far in the music biz. (At least I hope so) I'll tip my hat off to her originality. It's rare these days that young and inspiring musicians come up with their own material.
Very beautiful music.
Thank Drew.. well I'm sure she thanks you, but I'm glad you liked it.. means a lot to one that is quite the music man..
