Hello everyone! Welcome back to another week of Four for Fridays! It's been one of those weeks that go by and experience the same old. Then again, there has been some interesting spots... Anyways, some questions for you...
1) What historical culture fascinates you?
2) Would you rather be able to live in a 100 years into the past or a 100 years into the future?
3) What was the last thing that you had lost and then later found?
4) What is the best adaptation of a book to a movie?
Enjoy your weekend!

I guess I'll take first crack at this baby...
1. Mormons...facinating
2. My buddy, Mike Ditka said...only cowards and losers live in the past.
3. If you lost something and then later found it ...was it really lost? Just pondering.
4. The Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books...didn't they turn into Bay Watch?
Now I can tell ya'll are glad I'm here...lol
1) What historical culture fascinates you?
The people of the Himalayas.
How could these people survive
in a constant struggle with
the environment.
2) Would you rather be able to live in a 100 years into the past or a 100 years into the future?
Both would have very different sets of struggles. I know the history from the past one hundred years and the future I do not know.
Therefore, I would pick the past, as I ain'tgottimeforthat (kind of stuff the future will bring.)
3) What was the last thing that you had lost and then later found?
Money that I washed and dried .... (and I DO LOVE winning the laundry lottery!)
4) What is the best adaptation of a book to a movie?
Not too many that I experienced both...Butt...heheheh...
I guess it would be The Old Man and the Sea, an old classic by
Hemingway.
1, Atlantis
2. I will run with the future
3. amnesia
4. syfy to simplicity:
The classic 1869 novel by Jules Verne 20,000 leagues under the Sea and the movie starring James Mason as Captain Nemo.
Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea would rate right up there also.
Casa Blanca and Citizen Cane also deserves Honors.
If you haven;t seen all these movies, I suggest to make the time to enjoy the masterpieces each of these movies represent.
Thanks Drew for asking and everybody have a great weekend.
1. American Indians
2. 100 In the past, The future does not look good.
3. A small pocket tool, my daughter gave to me.
4. Darned If I know? I don't really read books, but did read Moby Dick, and saw the movie.
1. I'll take this a different way: Impressionist Paintings. It is historical and is cultural, and I love them.
2. Probably the future, that is, if we don't blow up the planet. I like my niceties... flush toilets, refrigeration, medical care, women's liberation. Oh yeah.
3. I'm still looking for my mind.
4. I think considering the volume of printed works, and the imaginary images they needed to depict, the Harry Potter movies did a very good job.
Thank you drew.
1) The Beat Generation.
2) Back to the future: 100 years into the future, please.
3) Probably my keys or pocket knife.
4) I don't know.
1. an era like Little House on the Prairie, people were so much nicer and helpful to one another then
2. see #1, people are incredibly rude and mean now, I can't imagine how awful they'll be in another 100 years, back away from the future please!
3. Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most - yet to be found...
4. I either watch the movie or read the book, not really into doing both, so I have no idea there.
4.
1) I like the medieval stuff.
2) In the past.
3) My inhaler and work side shields
4) The Lord of the Rings
Yes I know I am really late answering the questions. Blame Drew he had me doing something else on here yesterday!
1) Just like Little House on the Prairie and Dr. Quinn. I really like the way they help people and don't ask for anything in return. The two shows are similar in a way. Yes lizardmom same answer as you.
2) The only thing from the past I would not like is I would not have Drew with me. The more we go into the future the more electronics we will be having and I really don't like that either. I will take the past as long as I can take Drew with me.
3) I was going to say a lighter but then I was thinking about that and I didn't lose that Drew took it from me. Other than that nothing lately or that I can think of.
4) The very first Little House on the Prairie that came on t.v. was a movie. Then the series started every week.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and try to stay dry with the rain that is coming.
