Word Verification (CAPTCHA)
If you're a member of Blogger, you don't have to use the word verification when making comments. Just hit "Publish comment" and you'll be prompted to sign in. Once signed in, you shouldn't see them at all.
There are more complications than those which meet the eye. My work persona is recognized by Google, and so is my open ID email (an account I used a long time ago)
If you share a computer with others, Google can confuse your Blogger account with accounts those people use.
If you just skip the verification, and it chooses another existing account, you could accidentally post with the wrong name. It also doesn't let you choose another account at that point, so you could have to retype your response. Grrrr.
Big brother thinks it knows who you are, and I have enough trouble remembering which one of me I am sometimes, lol. I have found I must type the captcha when it appears, or risk losing my original typed response.
