From Racine County Eye:
By Paul Holley in Community, Events · June 2, 2015
"The Racine Common Council on Tuesday gave approval for Slide the City, a 1,000-foot-long 'slip-and-slide', to set up near North Beach on Saturday, Aug. 8.
"Slide the City will use Hoffert Drive from Michigan Boulevard to
North Beach Park. Participants will pay to ride their inner tubes down
the hill in a family-friendly water party. Single-day attendance is
capped at 5,000.
"Real Racine, the county’s destination marketing
organization, is bringing the attraction to the community. Real Racine
is paying for the water and park rental fees.
"Slide the City will
announce pricing and registration details within a few days. In the
meantime, check out this recent Wow Summer Adventures segment from 'The
Today Show' HERE
