I made the mistake of going on line and entering the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. After countless e-mails wanting me to buy something I listed them as junk. Total crap.
Off to walk the dog before the 96 (index over 100) heat. It's okay though as it is summertime.
When I was first out on my own, I entered the PCH contest. I kept getting letters, saying I "made it to the next level," and had to return the form to proceed. I did this a couple of times, every time becoming more invested in the process. Each letter had a box to check, saying that it wasn't necessary to purchase, but these reduced prices are still available. Every time you checked the NO box, you stopped and thought, gee... maybe if I buy something, my chances are better? It is a total scam. Too bad. Who doesn't want that big check and balloons?
Have a good day, Irregulars. Do something to make yourself smile.
I'm smiling because I finally nailed a basement parking spot, as of Aug. 1. You have no idea what this means to me. The parking lot is on the other side of the building from my apartment. It feels like a mile walk each time I need to go somewhere. If I have groceries, they have carts available, but then I have to roll it to my apartment, empty it, roll it back to the lot's entrance, and then walk back to my apartment. My apartment is above the parking garage. The elevator is just a few steps from my apartment. I look forward to lots of steps saved and no winter parking battles.
A building this size should come with an electric scooter with every apartment.
