Two days in a row now I've received a phone call from a man with a very, very thick Indian accent. Yesterday, I just hung up. Today, I played with him. I'm not sure what he's saying, but I think he wants to "fix" my computer. He had a hell of a time with my first name, so we decided I'm Dennis. I kept trying to interrupt him, but he was rolling on and on with his spiel. Finally I got his attention and said, "You must be more polite with people. Slow down and maybe some will buy into your scam." That ignited another spiel. At the end he asked for permission to do something to my computer (which wasn't even on). Obviously, I said no. He wanted to know why. "Because it's a scam," I said. He said, "How do you know? Are you a policeman?" I said, "No, Secret Service." Click. Bzzzzzzzz.....

that's great! We've gotten 3 of the robo calls, leaving messages that the IRS has an open case against us. mhmmm..... sure....... we just don't answer the phone unless we recognize the number or name. How did we ever live before caller ID? Oh ya, we'd answer every call..... don't miss those days!
I get these all the time. Rachel from card holders service, other credit card calls, important messages especially for "Senior Citizens," (of which I am NOT yet), Microsoft saying my computer is sending error messages... BS. I told the Microsoft guy that my computer couldn't be sending messages, as I don't even own one. That stopped him in his tracks. Usually, I just hang up.
When my mom was very ill, near the end of her life, every time the phone rang, there was alarm, and a sadness in my heart. How dare these people invade your life without your permission?
Secret service...awesome! I have to remember that one!
I was gonna say FBI, but Secret Service sounded cooler.
