"RACINE — David Kherdian has come home to stay.
"Last May, the award-winning author and poet visited his hometown of Racine in celebration of his recent gift of collected works to the Racine Heritage Museum.
"While they were here, he and his wife Nonny Hogrogian (an award-winning illustrator/artist) met with people throughout the community, as Kherdian gave readings and presentations throughout the week. There still is good in this community. You have to look for it. I love Racine. I'd feel badly about having to leave.
As you know, I was persecuted and prosecuted out of Racine. Someday I may return, but don't hold your breath.
