Study finds Aaron Rodgers to be the 'most despised person' in the NFL
Who is the most hated person associated with the NFL?
It isn't the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown, though he came in second. It also isn't longtime New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick. (He came in third).
A semi-scientific Twitter study found our very own Aaron Rodgers to be the most despised person in the NFL.
The Green Bay Packers quarterback has made national headlines on and off the field for the past year. In return, that generated a lot of buzz on Twitter.
According to BetOnline's staff who conducted the study, the conclusion was derived after more than a million tweets were analyzed by keyword association.
"Negative phrases such as "I hate Aaron Rodgers," "Antonio Brown sucks," "F**ck Roger Goodell," "Cam Newton is horrible," etc. were included in the study that spanned the month of December," Stuff Media Group said in a statement. " January and February were not included so the findings wouldn't be swayed by the playoff participants."
Rodgers had 266,850 negative tweets about him during the month of December. That is more than double the amount Brown had in second place. Brown had 107,379 negative tweets.

Non-players also made the top 20, including Roger Goodell, Jackson Mahomes, Dan Snyder, Robert Kraft, and Brittany Matthews.

'Welcome to the Hall of Fame': Former Packers safety LeRoy Butler earns NFL's highest honor
GREEN BAY - As LeRoy Butler was trying to rush along his son to take him to school in the morning a couple weeks ago, he heard a knock on the door so loud he thought it might be the police.
As he went to answer the knock he saw who was there and wondered what in the world Charles Woodson was doing at his house.
It wasn’t until Butler opened the door and saw a camera crew and maybe a 25-person delegation that he realized the dream of a lifetime had come true: He was going into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
“Roy Lee, welcome to the Hall of Fame,” said Woodson, a former Packers star who was elected to the Hall last year.
“Don’t play, don’t play,” Butler answered.
“Trust me, you’re in the Hall of Fame,” Woodson said.
And with that, Butler felt none of the cold even though he was standing on his South Milwaukee porch in his stocking feet on a January morning.
“I feel like I stepped outside my body and watched myself,” he said of the moment.
Butler was one of five modern-era candidates and eight total voted into the Hall in the 2022 class that was revealed on the NFL Honors Show on Thursday night. The others were modern-era players Tony Boselli, Sam Mills, Bryant Young and Richard Seymour, along with senior finalist Cliff Branch, coach finalist Dick Vermeil and contributor finalist Art McNally.
Butler was introduced at the Honors show by former teammate and fellow Hall of Famer Brett Favre.
"He was the first to leap in Lambeau and one of the fiercest to defend it," Favre said. "An all-decade safety and an All-Pro competitor, an all-time teammate, LeRoy Butler."
NFL MVP: Packers' Aaron Rodgers wins 4th

MILWAUKEE - Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was named the NFL's 2021 MVP at the NFL Honors Thursday night, Feb. 10.
In 2021, Rodgers started 16 of 17 possible games for the Packers as they finished with the NFL's top record and clinched the NFC's top playoff seed. In those 16 games, Rodgers threw for 4,115 yards and 37 touchdowns to just four interceptions.
Rodgers led the NFL in touchdowns per pass attempt, interceptions per pass attempt and passer rating – a metric in which he also led the league for two of his previous three MVP seasons.
In addition to being named the NFL's MVP, Rodgers was named first-team All-Pro for the fourth time in his career and made his 10th Pro Bowl – a record among Packers players.
The MVP caps a year dotted with public controversy and tumult for Rodgers.
On April 29, 2021 – the opening night of the 2021 NFL draft – ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Rodgers had grown "disgruntled" with the Packers to the point that he would not return.
After much speculation of what would come next, Rodgers arrived in Green Bay for the start of training camp in July. The three-time MVP let it be known publicly that he wanted to have a voice in the decision-making process.
Rodgers became the center of a second media firestorm of the year when it became known that he had not received the COVID-19 vaccine, seeking alternative treatment options instead. His explanation for being "immunized," as he put it, instead of vaccinated against the coronavirus, drew flack. Though he defended his stance on not receiving the vaccine, he made comments that repeated debunked myths surrounding its use.
The Packers lost their lone playoff game to the San Francisco 49ers at Lambeau Field, ending the season and starting the clock on another uncertain offseason for Rodgers.

"This Is A Nationwide Insurrection" - Ottawa Mayor Declares 'State Of Emergency' Amid Trucker Convoy 'Occupation'
Protesters continued to gather and demonstrate against COVID-19 vaccine mandates and restrictions in Canada’s capital on Feb. 6, marking the one week anniversary of the so-called "occupation."
“We are on day eight of this occupation. Our city is under siege. What we’re seeing is bigger than just a City of Ottawa problem. This is a nationwide insurrection. This is madness. We need a concrete plan to put an end to this,” said the chair of the board, Ottawa City Council member Diane Deans, at the beginning of the nearly two-hour-long virtual discussion.
Ottawa police chief Peter Sloly agreed with her portrayal of the situation, saying that local law enforcement was “never intended to deal with a city under siege,” and decried the lack of resources – and legal authority – to disperse the protest.
At one point, Deans wondered whether the city had legal grounds to declare an unlawful assembly and then a riot, in order to conduct mass arrests, instead of pursuing “one criminal charge at a time.”
“There are so many people out there engaged in a broader act of… mayhem, that we need to be able to bring it all under control,” she said.
“We can’t allow this kind of terrorism in our community to continue this way.”
Yes, in accordance with the narrative laid down from Trudeau's twitter feed, the establishment is now calling protesting truckers - terrorists!
And as a result of all that hysteria, The Epoch Times reports that Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson has declared a state of emergency due to the trucker protest that continues in the city’s downtown core.
In a brief statement, the city said the decision reflects the “serious danger and threat to the safety and security of residents posed by the ongoing demonstrations and highlights the need for support from other jurisdictions and levels of government. ”
“It also provides greater flexibility within the municipal administration to enable the City of Ottawa to manage business continuity for essential services for its residents and enables a more flexible procurement process, which could help purchase equipment required by frontline workers and first responders,” the city said in its statement.
Protest organizers say their demonstration is peaceful... apart from this terrible, awful, horrific, terroristic attack on a good, honest, local citizen who was just trying to cross the road...
The protest started as a demonstration by truckers against the federal government’s requirement for cross-border truck drivers to be vaccinated, but has since evolved into a large movement joined by people from across Canada to oppose different COVID-19 mandates and restrictions. Vehicle convoys came to Ottawa on Jan. 29, and many have stayed in the city, with trucks and other vehicles parked by Parliament Hill. Many protesters say they will remain until the mandates are lifted.

Sounds of honking horns can be heard throughout the day in the Parliament Hill area, which residents are complaining about.
Protest organizer Benjamin Dichter says people who are unhappy about the honking should be contacting Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and ask him to lift COVID-19 mandates.
“To anybody who is annoyed, we apologize. Please call Justin Trudeau, his office, and get these mandates lifted, and we’re out of here,” Dichter said at a press conference in Ottawa on Feb. 6.
Trudeau has refused to meet with the protesters.
Tom Quiggin, who is helping the organizers with “protective intelligence,” said many people across Canada have lost their jobs, homes, and businesses as a result of COVID-19 mandates and restrictions, and they have grievances too, which is why they are protesting in the nation’s capital.
“Let’s remember most of Ottawa is government, huge number of civil servants here. They haven’t missed a paycheque. They’ve got pay raises, some of them have got back pay, most of them are working from home. Some of them who can’t work from home are just doing nothing and still getting paid,” Quiggin said at the press conference.
“So yes, it’s unfortunate that they feel bad about the horns, yes, it’s unfortunate they feel bad about the disruption, but the rest of the country is hurting.”
Daniel Bulford, a former RCMP officer who quit the force because of its vaccine mandate and is now helping the protest organizers, said his children don’t want to play hockey anymore because of the position his family has taken on vaccine issues, as they feel “isolated and alienated.”
“The people dealing with the honking, they’re not the only ones that are dealing with the impact of all these mandates,” Bulford said at the press conference.

Long Funeral Homes, Short Life Insurers? Ex-Blackrock Fund Manager Discovers Disturbing Trends In Mortality
Four weeks ago, OneAmerica insurance company CEO Scott Davison revealed that they had witnessed 'the highest death rates in the history of this business - not just at OneAmerica' with a jump of '40% over what they were pre-pandemic.' Interestingly, Davison noted that the majority of deaths are not classified as due to Covid-19.
The implication to many was clear - that the Covid-19 vaccine is linked to the excess mortality, and months of vaccine injury reports were now spilling over to actuarial data - which is beginning to show, among other things, that younger, working-age people began dying in greater numbers as vaccine mandates hit - for a disease which primarily kills older, non-working age individuals. The counter argument, often presented without evidence, is that the increase is due to people who postponed elective surgeries and other medical treatments during the pandemic.
Ex-Blackrock fund manager Ed Dowd is in the former camp, and has spent the last month analyzing breadcrumbs associated with a rise in excess mortality vs. pre-pandemic levels. Given that we're now in the middle of earnings season, there are some pretty big crumbs rolling out of the insurance and funeral services industries which are beginning to paint a disturbing picture.
A few key observations:
Mortality worsened in 2021 vs. 2020 despite widespread vaccinations
A spike in Mortality among younger, working-age individuals coincided with vaccine mandates
The spike in younger deaths peaked in Q3 2021 when Covid deaths were extremely low (but rising into the end of September)
On Tuesday, financial insurance company Unum reported that their Life segment saw an increase of 9% in their ratio of payouts vs. premiums (Benefit ratio), a 17.4% increase in 2021 vs. 2020 despite widespread vaccinations, and a 13.3% increase over 2019.
On Wednesday, Dowd noted that funeral home company Carriage Services saw a 28% increase in September 2021 vs. 2020, and a 13% increase in August vs. the same period. Funerals and cremations are up 12% and 13% respectively on the quarter.
In general, funeral homes saw an uptick in business in Q3, and Dowd will be closely monitoring Q4 reports which are expected around Feb. 15 - less than two weeks away.
Dowd also noted on Wednesday that Lincoln National's death claims are up 13.7% y/y, and up 57% in Q4 vs. 2019. CFO Randy Frietag explained on Thursday that in 2021, the share of young people dying from Covid doubled in the second half of the year.
Meanwhile, Reinsurance Group of America noted in their Thursday earnings call that Q4 was impacted by a meaningful level of Covid-19 mortality claims despite the fact that the Covid-19 vaccines have been around for more than a year.

"This Is Alex Jones Territory!" Watch Reporter Shred Admin Spox Over 'Russian False Flag' Claims
Earlier on Thursday the Biden administration and US intelligence came out with some explosive and outlandish claims, saying Russia is planning to release a video depicting graphic scenes of a "staged false explosion with corpses, actors depicting mourners, and images of destroyed locations and military equipment," as CNN described it. This in order to justify a military invasion of Ukraine, given the false flag operation would feature Russian-backed separatists under attack by Ukrainian forces.
Given such a narrative has been advanced in public, grabbing global headlines, but without so much as a shred of evidence - even mainstream media pundits are scratching their heads. Watch Associated Press writer Matt Lee demolish the State Department's Ned Price, who refuses to provide any level of proof backing the bizarre and surprising claims. "This is like Alex Jones territory you're getting into now!" Lee points out...
Throughout the past month, both sides of the Ukraine crisis have accused the other of waging "information wars" - however, these new claims, complete with details of crisis actors and war scenes and corpses being "staged", have reached new levels of the absurd. US Secretary of Defense spokesman John Kirby had told reporters earlier Thursday afternoon that "We do have information that the Russians likely to want to fabricate a pretext for an invasion - which again, is right out of their playbook."
The AP's Lee incredulously points this out to an increasingly agitated Ned Price, who doubles down during the testy exchange, even suggesting that anyone questioning the Biden admin narrative is merely being fed 'Russian disinformation'...
Lee challenged Price, saying the State Department had presented “no evidence” that Russia has actually created a “crisis actor” video and insisting that he wouldn’t be satisfied with the administration’s claims alone.
“If you doubt the credibility of the U.S. government, of the British government, of other governments and want to, you know, find solace in information that the Russians are putting out, that is for you to do,” Price responded.
Lee then pointed that given the extraordinary claims, some level of evidence is demanded given the mounting numbers of whopping government lies over the past two decades, including 'Iraq WMDs'.
Price hid behind the "that's classified" classic line often used whenever government officials want to shut down legitimate skepticism of their claims...
“Like, ‘crisis actors’? This is Alex Jones territory you’re getting into,” he said. “Where is the declassified information?,” he repeated multiple times.
In pressing for evidence to justify the administration’s claims, the veteran reporter referenced numerous U.S. intelligence failures that led to catastrophe in recent decades, including the “weapons of mass destruction” speculation that served as a pretext for America’s 2003 military intervention in Iraq as well as the U.S. timeline for Afghanistan’s fall to the Taliban that was totally upended in August.
"That's not evidence, Ned, that's you saying it."
"I would like to see some proof that you can show that shows what the Russians are doing. I’ve been doing this a long time…I remember Iraq and that Kabul’s not going to fall," Lee then asserted.
Price retorted: "I'm sorry you're doubting the information that is in the possession of the US government" - as if it was some kind of gotcha response. Hilariously, it wasn't the first time today that the Biden administration pulled this kind of clumsy 'if you doubt what I'm saying you must be with the enemy' tactic... Price sneeringly dismissed Lee as a Russian propagandist for refusing to accept wild evidence-free government assertions at face value. The administration did the same thing earlier in the day when questioned about the special forces raid on the Syria-Turkey border...

Bronze Fonz on Milwaukee's RiverWalk; where is it?
MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee's "Bronze Fonz" statue is missing from its post on the RiverWalk, but as it turns out, there's no reason to hit the jukebox.
A concerned FOX6 News viewer reached out Tuesday, Feb. 1 after noticing the bronze statue of the "Happy Days" star was missing from its position along the Milwaukee River – just south of Wells Street. FOX6 News placed a few phone calls, and our friends at VISIT Milwaukee say the statue was removed from its spot on Tuesday morning for maintenance by Vanguard Sculpture Services.
On her lunch-break stroll to a nearby gym, Paula Lee couldn't help but notice.
"I usually walk the RiverWalk, either side of the river," said Lee.
Her favorite stop on the RiverWalk was gone.

"Some people thought he might have been thrown into the river, and everybody was like, 'What happened to the Fonz?!'" said Lee.
She posted her curious concern to Facebook, in search of answers.
Just south of Wells Street, even visitors like Anthony Ortega, in town from Houston, were puzzled.
"It's my first time here. I didn't know exactly where to start. I kept looking at my phone, looking at my phone and I know for a fact I was in the right place, but come to find out, I see this empty square and I was like, 'Well, I'm guessing he should be here,'" said Ortega.

"The Bronze Fonz had a really rough week, so he decided to hop on his motorcycle and he went over to Leon's to get some burgers and some frozen custard," said Lindsey McKee, VISIT Milwaukee.
Or…something like that. Winters are tough for Milwaukee's Bronze Fonz, too.
"We want to make sure, as we get into the spring and summer months, we want to make sure he's looking good and is camera-ready," said McKee.
A sculpture repair shop is performing some routine maintenance on the Bronze Fonz. In the meantime, FOX6's Gino Salomone tweeted he'd step in to help, to which Henry Winkler replied, "Thank you -- you can always count on Gino."
So the good news -- the Bronze Fonz was not stolen. McKee says the Bronze Fonz should be back in two weeks or less with a bit more shine, a fresh coat of paint and his two thumbs up for happy days ahead.
For the record, the Bronze Fonz was erected in 2008 – and gives a thumbs up to Arthur Fonzarelli or "Fonzie" of "Happy Days" fame. Actor Henry Winkler portrayed the Fonz – and the statue shows off his trademark leather jacket, t-shirt, and blue jeans.
The Bronze Fonz is arguably one of the most popular places for visitors to take selfies in Milwaukee.

Elon Musk says Biden treats Americans 'like fools' after president meets with GM, Ford execs on electric cars
Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that President Biden "is treating the American public like fools" after Biden met with executives from rival car companies General Motors and Ford Motor earlier this week.
Biden invited GM CEO Mary Barra and Ford CEO Jim Farley to the White House along with other business leaders to discuss his administration's $1.75 trillion Build Back Better legislation, which has stalled in the evenly split Senate after U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., refused to support the legislation.

The massive spending bill would bump up the $7,500 tax credit to $12,500 for union-made electric vehicles and would also make GM and Tesla eligible for the existing tax credit again after they hit the 200,000-vehicle limit for the credit.
Biden touted GM's recent $7 billion investment in Michigan to ramp up electric vehicle production.
"Companies like GM and Ford are building more electric vehicles here at home than ever before," the president tweeted after the meeting, prompting the response from Musk that Biden was treating the American public "like fools."

Musk also tweeted that "Biden is a damp [sock] puppet in human form" and "Starts with a T, Ends with an A, ESL in the middle."
Previous criticism
It's not the first time that Musk has taken shots at Biden. The electric vehicle pioneer said in September that the administration was "maybe a little biased" and "seems to be controlled by unions."
The Big Three U.S. automakers – GM, Ford, and Stellantis – are the largest employers of the United Auto Workers labor union.
The president invited executives from those three companies to the White House in August when signed an executive order with the goal of making all vehicles sold in the U.S. electric by 2030, but did not invite Musk.

Tesla reported record annual profits of $5.5 billion on Wednesday, including a fourth-quarter profit of $2.32 billion. That's up from its previous record of $3.47 billion in profit in 2020, which was the company's first profitable year.
Despite the bright earnings report, shares of Tesla stock slid 11.55% to $829.10 on Thursday amid ongoing supply chain challenges.
